You can join in our ordinary family activities such as gardening, cooking, walking and visiting friends and family. On days when you have a lot of free time we encourage you to explore the local area or take day trips independently. We will help you plan your trips and provide any information you might need. Alternatively if you wish to relax in the house, that is also fine. If you wish to stay close to home some nearby activities are:

Slaithwaite Leisure Centre: A 5-minute walk from our house, it is usually about £20 to get daytime and weekend membership for one month (or about £30 for anytime membership). This gives you access to a gym, a pool and various exercise classes including Les Mills classes.

Titanic Spa: A luxury spa resort with pool, saunas, steam rooms, heat and ice rooms, and various treatments.

Afternoon tea: This popular British tradition can be experienced at various cafes and tearooms. There are six branches of the famous Betty’s Cafe Tea Rooms in Yorkshire.
